You can blind bake these tarts by placing parchment paper on top of the shell and adding dry beans over the center section of the parchment paper. If they are rising, you can use a measuring cup to slightly press them back down.Īnother way to prevent the centers from rising in the oven is blind baking. At about eight minutes, check the tart shells to see if the centers are rising. Preheat your oven to 375 ☏ and then place your mini tart molds in the oven. Place the molds in the freezer and chill for at least one hour. This will prevent the middle from puffing too much. Use your fingers to press the dough evenly throughout the mold.Īfter all the dough is in the molds, use a fork to poke the bottom of each tart. I like to add the dough into the tart mold, I scoop three tablespoons or 60 grams of dough and place directly into the tart molds. But not everyone has an option for these specific molds at home, so you can use cupcake tins, just make sure you need to adjust the amount of dough per mold. I’m using four inch tart molds to make this recipe. Tart molds and bakingįor the mini tart shells, there are traditional tart shaped molds you can use (those that have scalloped edges, you know what I’m talking about). It should hold its shape, but is also pliable. Remove the mixing bowl from the stand mixer and use your hands to form it into a ball of dough. If it’s too dry, you can add one tablespoon of heavy cream until it forms a dough. Test the dough by pinching some of the sand in between your fingers. The mixture should have a sandy texture and almost look too dry. Once these are combined, add the egg yolks, vanilla extract, and heavy cream and mix until combined. To make the mini tart dough, you need a stand mixer with a paddle attachment to mix together the flour, salt, sugar, and butter. The beauty of tarts and mini tarts is that you can often prepare either of these items ahead of time, and this recipe is no different. Tarts have a basic assembly of a shell and a filling. These fruit tarts also differ from egg tarts that are popular in Asian bakeries and dim sum restaurants because the egg tarts have a flakier crust. Tarts are made with delicate, shortbread-like shells that are baked ahead of time and then assembled with the desired fillings, like fresh fruit. Pies have a crust that is thicker, flakier, and firmer–you add lots of fat to this crust. While both tarts and pies can have sweet or savory fillings, they differ in their crust. Now don’t get these mini tarts mixed up with pies because they’re totally different foods. With this mini fruit tart recipe I can prep tarts ahead of time and make up any excuse to celebrate at home! Tarts vs. Maybe it’s because the use of fruit on top of sugary custard gave some semblance of a healthier treat, at least more so than frosting and cake, but nevertheless, it was a delicious option. Growing up (and even now), fruit tarts were a big staple for birthday parties. Fresh fruit slices and a sweet custard filling on top of a bite-sized cookie shell–these mini fruit tarts aren’t just beautiful, they’re delicious and refreshing.

I have reviewed the terribly confusing and unattractive pricing and purchase options and the direct method to do this is just to buy the grandfathered Infuse Pro 6… which it sure seems like I already did.Īny way through this? I am plenty confused. Could it be that the Infuse Pro 6 that I had installed on both iPads was actually Infuse 6? Was there a free tier? I don’t think there was.Īnyway, what I would LIKE is to reinstall the missing app. So to recap: I seem to have previously had a purchased version of Infuse Pro 6 but I cannot find a record of the transaction. Infuse 7 will not allow me to play any media back and an attempted restore fails. My local user account here does not show a direct purchase, but I think I must have done so. If I install the free version of Infuse 7, will it co-exist happily with the standalone v6 That is, will I end up with two separate & working versions to. I can’t find a record of a paid purchase of Infuse Pro 6 but the version of 6 that remains very unambiguously identifies itself as Infuse Pro 6, not Infuse 6. My iOS purchase history shows an unpaid download and install in 2017… of Infuse 7! I think that's really how the Democrats keep this momentum going through 2024. And, you know, we want to see more sustained outreach, though. I think those are things that young voters largely support. They are canceling large amounts of student debt and pardoning anyone for simple marijuana possession. They passed historic investments in HBCUs and community colleges. They - you know, they passed the single largest investment in climate change history. LOBEL: Look, I think that President Biden and the Democratic Party have shown that they are fighting for Gen Z on a lot of different issues, and they've shown their ability to deliver. But is Joe Biden the candidate for Gen Z? MARTIN: I realize that I am about to pivot into the future. And - you know, so we were all focused on progress. And we have a very big stake in our future. We want to build a better future for our families as much as anyone. We want to build a better future for ourselves. You know, we see that - the rising cost of health care, of housing, of education. Economic issues are hitting young people very hard. We are focusing on our ability to build a better future. So, you know, we are focusing on abortion rights. They're trying to restrict our rights, and they're trying to take us back in time. But the far right is trying to attack us. I think young voters recognize that when Roe fell, it may have been the first of many rights to fall. LOBEL: Voters of Tomorrow's been doing a lot of polling, and we saw that abortion was certainly a top issue. MARTIN: So when you were out trying to galvanize support for largely Democratic candidates, what were the issues that were top of mind for other young voters you talked to? I voted because although in New York we have gun violence restrictions that keep us safe, my peers in other states don't have those rights. But I voted because, you know, my peers in other states do not have those same rights. So, you know, I live in New York where we're lucky to have abortion rights enshrined in our constitution. We feel empathy for our generation and members of our generation in other states. You know, in a lot of age groups, we saw that, you know, voters in certain states voted in a certain way, but Gen Z is connected. LOBEL: I think that Gen Z is uniquely connected. But what issues helped you make your choices? MARTIN: So we'll broaden it out to talk about the demographic as a whole. But it really felt great to be a voter as well and to make my voice heard at the ballot box. You know, I've been an advocate and I've been an organizer and I've been a strategist. MARTIN: You voted for the first time this year, I understand. It's a Gen Z-led organization focused on mobilizing young voters and electing more Democrats. He's the deputy communications director for a group called Voters of Tomorrow. What resonated with young voters this time around? We are joined by Jack Lobel. Two years ago, voters under the age of 30 turned out in record numbers to help Joe Biden defeat Donald Trump. Young voters are important to both political parties, Democrats and Republicans. Core Muscles: The erector spinae and the abdominal muscles are involved in dumbbell pullovers. The lats extend, adduct and medially rotate the humerus and depress the scapula. It also has some fibers arising from the lower four ribs, and occasionally from the tip of the scapula. The lats ( latissimus dorsi) are the largest muscles in the back that start under the tail end of the trapezius and go all the way down to the sacrum, and out onto the posterior iliac crest. Back Muscles: The main back muscles involved in the movement are the lats. This one lies underneath the pectoralis major and is involved in shoulder functioning. The pectoralis minor is smaller and flatter. It keeps your arms attached to your body and it’s involved in flapping, pressing, and lifting movements. The pectoralis major is the larger one, a fan-shaped muscle comprising most of the chest wall. Chest Muscles: These are the pectorals, which are divided into the pectoralis major and pectoralis minor.Let’s delve into the muscles involved in dumbbell pullovers. The classic dumbbell pullover is a widely used resistance exercise that primarily strengthens the muscles in the chest (pectoralis major) and the large wing-shaped muscles in the back (latissimus dorsi). In regards to aesthetics, developing and strengthening your back helps to give you a V-shape, which shows a slimmer-looking waistline. This translates into increased power for a great variety of movements, such as in ab and chest workouts and exercises for the lower posterior chain. Strengthening your back muscles positively affects your daily living.Īdditionally, having a strong back assists you in developing and strengthening other muscles. This is significant since improper posture leads to back pain over time. Strong back muscles help you to develop and maintain correct posture. Back muscles help keep the joints of the spine free from restriction. It is a necessity, not only to keep a healthy back but a healthy body. Strengthening your back muscles is not a luxury. It empowers your body and contributes to basic human movement dynamics. The back is connected to the hips and gluteal muscles at the bottom, to the neck at the top, and to the anterior area of the body through the chest and shoulders. The back is an extremely important part of the body but many people neglect it. However, overtraining your chest without training your back can leave you slouched forward. Simultaneously, it adds size to the chest wall and lifts the chest. A strong well-developed chest improves your ability to push things and helps you to stand tall and have good posture. They are also involved in flapping, pressing, lifting, throwing, and swinging actions. Strong pectorals contribute to your overall upper body strength. Having a strong chest and back is extremely important. The Carbon Evo comes equipped with electronic speed control as standard, operated via a three-position switch. The platter also sits on a sub-platter that the belt acts upon, further enhancing its stability. This design makes the platter much more inert than previous Debut platters and provides for a more stable turntable performance. One of the most significant improvements is the platter’s construction, which is now made of steel and features a TPE damping ring applied to its inner edge. The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo boasts several upgrades to its motor and platter arrangements that set it apart from its predecessor, the Debut Carbon. The turntable also features a 300mm steel platter with a felt mat, which provides a stable platform for your records and helps to minimize vibrations. These feet can be used to level the turntable on uneven surfaces, ensuring that your records are always played back with the highest level of accuracy possible. In addition to its impressive tonearm, the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo also has adjustable feet. The tonearm also features an adjustable counterweight and anti-skate mechanism, which helps to further improve the accuracy of the turntable’s performance. The unipivot design allows for precise tracking of the record grooves, resulting in a highly accurate playback of your favorite records. One of the most striking design features of the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo is its tonearm. The turntable’s aesthetic is simple yet elegant, and its compact size allows it to fit into any room with ease. The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo boasts a sleek and minimalist design, with a high-gloss finish on the plinth and a clear dust cover.
"We knew that there were going to be things that we find where Hubble gave some tantalizing clues but didn’t have the right suite of capabilities to pursue," Rieke said.īut the impressive size of Webb's mirror was also one of the mission's greatest design challenges. In other words, if Hubble opened a window to the universe, then Webb will likely kick down the door. The Webb telescope’s primary mirror, which collects and focuses light from objects in the cosmos, will be the largest to fly in space. Though Hubble is responsible for decades of scientific discoveries and some of the most jaw-dropping images of the cosmos, including the famed Pillars of Creation, the telescope is limited in what it can see - and how far. The observatory will build on the legacy of the iconic Hubble Space Telescope, which has been operating since 1990. For the thousands of scientists and engineers around the world involved with the project, it has been a long and often bumpy journey. Over the course of its development, the telescope ran billions of dollars over budget and was finished more than a decade behind schedule. First proposed more than 30 years ago, the observatory is designed to help astronomers piece together how the modern universe came to be.īut the project has not been without controversy. The James Webb Space Telescope is a collaboration between NASA, the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency. "Once it leaves the planet, it's on its own." Next-generation space telescope "There's no help on the way," Robinson said. That won't be an option this time, said Greg Robinson, Webb’s program director at NASA. Astronauts famously visited the Hubble Space Telescope in low-Earth orbit on five separate servicing missions between 19. This helps shield the telescope's instruments from heat and light that could interfere with its observations.īut at a million miles away, NASA won't be able to send astronauts to the telescope to make upgrades or repairs if anything goes wrong. The observatory's destination is known as the second Lagrange, or L2, point and was chosen because the telescope can remain in a stable orbit with one side of the telescope permanently facing Earth and the sun. Artist conception of the James Webb Space Telescope in space. Risky businessĪfter launch, the Webb telescope will spend about a month journeying to a point in orbit around the sun that is about 1 million miles away from Earth. It could also observe exoplanets with instruments sensitive enough to study their atmospheres, looking for potential biosignatures of alien life.įor all its potential benefits, the mission is also one of NASA's most daring. She said Webb could unlock mysteries of the early universe, from as far back as 100 million years after the Big Bang. Rieke has spent the past 20 years leading the development of one of the Webb telescope's four main instruments, a specially designed infrared camera known as NIRcam.
